The St. Louis blocks are a buffer between the quiet residential De Tonti Square historic neighborhood and the vibrant downtown district on Dauphin Street. The re-imagining of these blocks creates a place for locals and tourists alike, making it the perfect spot to bridge the two areas together. With contemporary design elements and French historical influences such as decorative ironwork and refreshed brick, this new development transitions seamlessly into Mobile’s historic neighborhoods and engages the Mobile community. 

 

The Saints Hotel is an excellent destination for visitors like the Muellers to stay while enjoying Mobile. Featuring amenities like the rooftop pool and bar and its proximity to Dauphin Street, visitors will fully experience what Mobile has to offer. With retail and dining spaces such as the Tea Leaf and Bon Appetit on St. Michael street, there’s an amenity for everyone to enjoy.

The Saints Hotel

This communal area between the restaurants, ballroom, and hotel creates active circulation between those spaces. This is a family-friendly space to visit, with entertainment features such as a splash pad and an interactive sculpture to engage younger visitors. Scattered throughout the courtyard are various seating options to experience Mobile’s gulf coast weather while enjoying a delicious madeleine from Bon Appetit. 

 

Inspired by Mobile’s strong sense of community, several murals throughout the site celebrate the city’s vibrant culture. These murals also create engaging social media moments, further attracting more visitors to Mobile. 

 

This courtyard is not just an interactive space during the day. It is also a vibrant addition to the Mobile nightlife scene. The courtyard mood shifts from daytime activity to a chic and stylish evening destination for locals and guests alike to wind down after their day in Mobile.

The St Anthony Apartments

The St. Anthony Apartments give residents such as Tabitha a beautiful new place to live with easy access to all of the amenities offered by the new St. Louis street development. With co-working spaces on the ground level, residents can enjoy a short commute to work. Nearby mixed-use retail options provide a variety of goods and services, with quaint coffee shops and restaurants such as Bon Appetit and Tea Leaf just a block away. After a long day at work, residents can relax on their private balconies or enjoy the expansive rooftop garden. 

 

While these new apartments offer high-quality modern amenities, they remain sensitive to their historical context. The balconies utilize decorative ironwork, drawing inspiration from Mobile’s existing design elements and historic architecture.
